[edit]Mustafa's mother
[edit]Name of Mustafa's mother is not known. Maybe she was a certain Fuldane Sultan, but most probably not Handan Sultan. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 08:19, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Handan Sultan was his not his Mother. He did also have a sister on his mother's side, she is said to be powerful, because she was married to the Grand Vizir Davud Pasha
Mustafa was mentally sick, but he is said to have married Nihan Hatun.

A really important question
[edit]Why did you change Mustafa's birth date from 1592 to 1600? Please someone answer me. IgnacyPL (talk) 06:58, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
- I agree that this is an important question. The Encyclopedia of the Ottoman Empire, p. 409, cited as a source in this article, says: "Mustafa I (b. ca. 1591–d. ca. 1639)". BD2412 T 18:11, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
