Title of wiki entry
[edit]Mushi-Uta is mentioned on the covers of the japanese light novels as Mushi - (minus) Uta, so this is the correct english title for this light novel.
So Anything mentioned in this wiki entry NOT to be moved to Mushiuta wiki entry. Mushiuta wiki entry redirects to Mushi-Uta wiki entry, and thats not to be changed too. --ChuChu
Misc questions
[edit]...in no particular order:
- Mushi-Uta (ムシウタ, Mushiuta?): Katakana here begets a few questions. What is the reason?
- Ten years before the story's opening, strange insect-like creatures known as "Mushi" began appearing. Isn't mushi just the Japanese word for bug?
- we are properly introduced to Kako and his schoolmates, and the episode concludes with the meeting between Kakou and Shiika. Why the variant spellings?
- Who no character list?
- Shiika and Shika seems like the same person, why variant spellings?
I am not going for so called bold edits when I do know I do not have the facts. --19:43, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- I changed Shika to Shiika.
- As to Kako and Kakou they were both changed to Kakkou (かっこう). ChuChu
- Answers to those misc questions:
- I put ムシウタ since it is what is used in the light novels and anime.
- Mushi (虫) is indeed the Japanese word for bug, but the upcoming fansubs of the anime from at least one group will have Mushi untranslated, and I believe the books have Mushi written using katakana rather than kanji.
- My bad on the misspellings. It was late ;) Should be 薬屋「カッコー」大助 Kusuriya "Kakkou" Daisuke and 杏本詩歌 Anmoto Shiika (Japanese name order)
- No character list because I personally don't know enough about the characters to add one yet. If someone does have more info on the characters please do add a character list. --Teh.cmn 19:53, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Answers to those misc questions:
- I've changed them again per WP:MOS-JA. I'm not very sure about long vowel on Shiika, though. - 29dupe 08:54, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Mushitsuki whose Mushi are killed
[edit]In the 1st episode summary, it is mentioned that a Mushitsuki named Yuki is "killed" by the Special Environmental Conservation Executive Office. Actually, when their Mushi are killed, the Mushitsuki do not die, instead they become like dolls or vegetables... LOL. I don't know how to correctly phrase this in the article, so I hope someone will edit it to contain this information.
Demographic
[edit]If it's serialized in The Sneaker, shouldn't it be seinen? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.4.230.174 (talk) 07:01, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- The Sneaker is a light novel magazine aimed at males in their teens to their twenties. The average readership of the magazine was a 17 year old male a few years ago, but now its a 21 year old male. The label this light novel series is published under is Sneaker Bunko, a label aimed at the same demographic of the magazine. so Shounen as the demographic should be fine. --ChuChu 12:48, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

- I've looked for a source for a second season and couldn't find any. I've removed the statement on the bases that it is unverifiable. —Farix (t | c) 14:29, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
