Redirect to here with no explanation?

[edit]

I entered 'Zibibbo' as my search term, and got to 'Muscat of Alexandria' via a redirect. That's probably okay - I found at least one (external) page which says that the zibibbo grape is 'similar to moscato' - but there is no mention of zibibbo in the Muscat of Alexandria text. To me, that's confusing; the only indication of why I landed at a page I didn't request is a small 'redirected from' line at the top of the article, easily overlooked.

In my opinion, when a search term redirects to another page, there should at least be something in the target page which explains why the user was redirected. I could add something along the lines of 'The zibibbo grape of Italy is similar to moscato, and is used to make Moscato di Pantelleria Naturale' - but I'm afraid my knowledge of grape varieties isn't deep enough to know whether moscato and Muscat of Alexandria are one and the same, or similar, or completely dissimilar! Could a more knowledgable person add some suitable text?

I understand (from Hugh Johnson's Pocket Wine Book) that Zibibbo is a local (to Pantelleria) name for Muscat of Alexandria/Moscato d'Alessandria. I think by 'similar to Moscato' your source means 'similar to Moscato [Bianco]', i.e. to Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, which is the most common Muscat grape in Italy.
