On a quick read, Murrine seems to be a synonym for Millefiori [1], for which a separate article exists. Should these be combined?

No. Millefiori are a particular instance of murrine, multi-lobed much like flower petals. Murrina (pl. murrine) is a much more general term, and murrine can have many different patterns, including faces and words or sentences (see Richard Marquis for the Lord's Prayer in a murrina).
