[edit]

This article should not be deleted. Although unfortunately people are murdered every day, this particular murder is bringing criticism to the government, and is leading to crimes being treated as reprisals. There is a wealth of coverage here. Even though most of the coverage is in Italian, this is an English-language encyclopedia, not an encyclopedia of things interesting to an audience which speaks English. Sexually assaulted ?

[edit]

The source used to claim (in WP:Voice) that the woman was sexually assaulted actually says:

Investigators seem reluctant to say the words, but the post mortem results would seem to suggest an awful truth, with “evidence” that Mercedes, the wife, was the victim of “sexual abuse”, and there are reports of “bruises” and “signs of a struggle” on the 70-year-old woman’s body. Laboratory tests are still incomplete, but there is a clear working hypothesis, even if sexual assault is not currently one of the serious crimes Mamadou is charged with. The pathologist has attributed the wounds on the bodies to blows from a large screwdriver and pliers, found in the house where the killing took place. Fingerprint tests will reveal who used them.

Presumably, since this crime is 3.5 years ago, it is by now known whether sexual assault occurred and whether anyone has been found guilty so far. Pincrete (talk) 17:42, 5 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
