[edit]Now that this incident has become a murder case, isn't it time to change the title to something like Tialeigh Palmer murder case (with leave to change again to Murder of Tialeigh Palmer should her foster father be convicted or plead guilty. Daniel Case (talk) 06:55, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- I see your point. Personally though, I'm opposed to 'excessive' renaming, makes it harder to work out the page views. What's the normal practice or WP:MOS for this situation? 220 of Borg 07:31, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- Yer getting around bad software design to get stats is more important than actual facts. Calling it murder of from the start would have been the choice.--Simon19800 (talk) 07:38, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
- Not without a reliable source saying "murder" we can't. 220 of Borg 10:29, 21 September 2016 (UTC)

Incest
[edit]If this girl was fostered, how could her foster brother be charged with incest? That is not correct. Either she was his adopted sister, or he was not charged with incest.Royalcourtier (talk) 06:07, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
- Suggest you read incest and learn. WWGB (talk) 11:57, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

Regarding the short sentence of Trent
[edit]As Trent was only given 4 years for incest but apparently not for rape and released after already 16 months, does that mean that his claim that he was coerced by Tiahleigh into having sex with her because she had threatened to otherwise kill his dog, was taken into account during the sentencing? If it was, it should perhaps be mentioned in the article, as it otherwise seems a bit puzzling for the reader that he was given and served such a short sentence.
