Article Restructuring

[edit]

The content of the article needs updating to reflect recent developments. It is poorly referenced and lacks appropriate detail about some of the legal issues which arose at the trial. I propose that the article should be renamed HMA V Gilroy and written in the familiar format used to document Scottish criminal trials. SpectroscopicJ (talk) 17:30, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article could certainly do with expansion, feel free to do so. However I feel inclinded to leave it at the current title. Most of the articles you mention are not murder cases, in general across Wikipedia we have articles called "Murder of So-and-so", I think this is justified since the opposite approach could suggest that we regard the culprit as more important than the victim. I'm happy for you to go ahead with an expansion and restructuring of this, but agree with PatGallacher re the title. Adding some of the Scottish legal stuff would be very useful too. You might also find it helpful to check out some of the FA-Class British crime-related articles for some good tips. I found many of them of great use while I was working on Murder of Joanna Yeates. Let me know if you need any help and good luck. Paul MacDermott (talk) 18:46, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I hear what you are saying. I'll create a section within the article for HMA V Gilroy where we can deal with all the legal stuff and proceed from there. Cheers. SpectroscopicJ (talk) 19:36, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
