"(i.e. equivalent a life sentence)"

[edit]

@Gaia Octavia Agrippa I don't see a reason to emphasise that the defendants' sentence is equivalent to a life sentence when in my edit it was written that the sentence was "indefinite definition" (emphasis mine) and a link to Life imprisonment in England and Wales was included, sufficiently conveying the information. The sentence passed is "detention at his Majesty's pleasure" for under 18s, because a life sentence can only used for 18+. "Indefinite detention" has its own specific meaning in the UK. The main body of an article allows for longer and more detailed information, so there is no reason to not be accurate with our wording and then to add additional explanation.
