Misleading data?

[edit]

While it is indeed true that the immigration population of Amsterdam is presently about 52%, this includes all categories. Non-Western immigrants represent about a third and muslims 16%. So emphasizing, within the context of a book about Muslim radicalisation, the 52% number, falsely suggests that there were a Muslim majority in the Dutch capital. The percentage is also not in the source cited.

Another misleading quote is the statement by Bouyeri about decapitation. He did not explain himself: the "DA" had accused Moroccans of hypocrisy, because they immigrated to The Netherlands but did not live by its laws. Bouyeri admitted he had a point "because the same law that orders me to decapitate everyone who abuses Allah and his prophet, that same law obliges me not to settle in this country" (want dezelfde wet die mij opdraagt om iedereen die Allah en zijn profeet uitscheldt de kop eraf te hakken, diezelfde wet verplicht mij om mij niet in dit land te vestigen).--MWAK (talk) 19:33, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
