[edit]Hey, have been reading up on the whole scandal around the sheriff. Think it would be good to add? I do, but would like some help doing so as i am not the most educated person about this topic (i am trying to be though) Tiptoety 23:14, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Seconding the request that info be added. Controversial things he's said: "They're not my bosses, they're my bankers" (regarding the county commissioners), "Families, jobs and service to the community in that order" (to the deputy's union). Also, he passed on punishing an officer who may very well have committed official misconduct. And then there's a possible affair w/ the state's First Lady and the not telling the public about the gov's "affair" w/a child.
- Here should be some info to get started: http://www.google.com/search?q=%22Bernie+Guisto%22 Jason McHuff 21:06, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Not sure this is worth including, but here's a photo of Robert L. Stevens, who served as sheriff during the Oregon land fraud trials in the early 20th century. -Pete Forsyth (talk) 17:03, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
