Not done: When using the Edit Request template, please format your request as "Please replace Sentence A with Sentence B". You stated that there is wrong and misleading information on this page, but did not point out what information is wrong. The long list above seems to be copied and pasted from some other source, and it would be helpful if you could provide a link to a secondary source that contained the same information so that we can verify it. Also, a lot of the information you provided is unduly promotional and/or not appropriate for Wikipedia. ~Adjwilley (talk) 23:33, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ravi:
I'll respond to you here the same as on my talk page: this edit is not going to be done. Your proposed text would be appropriate for Mr. Naqvi's own personal webpage, but not for a Wikipedia article. It completely violates neutrality and serves only to praise and promote Mr. Naqvi. If you can point out specific factual errors in the present article content, please do so, and an independent editor will evaluate such factual errors. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:39, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Amplifying that response, since you have claimed above that there are factual errors in the article, please do let us know specifically what they are, and we will be happy to remove them unless we are able to verify that the statements are true. If you want to add material to the article, we will likely need references to reliable sources that confirm that the information is correct.
In general, you will find that you have more success if you give us small amounts of material at a time, rather than attempting to replace the whole article at once. Focus on incorrect statements that need to be removed, and new information that is backed up by sources.
And again, for emphasis: since you are associated with the subject of this article, you are not permitted to edit the article yourself directly. All changes to the article by associates of Mr. Naqvi must be proposed on the talk page and implemented by an independent editor.--Srleffler (talk) 19:00, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

While reading through the article We found that line saying he studied law and the arts at Allahabad University. Earlier, he was president of the Students' Union at Government Intermediate College Allahabad. He first contested election for the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh in 1980 from Allahabad West for Janta Party Seculer, and Raj Narain again from Ayodhya as an independent candidate in 1989. is not correct and the correct one is : He studied B.A. Hons. and Post Graduation in Mass Communication from the Colleges of Allahabad and Bareilly.

Ravi, until you can provide citations to indicate that your information is more correct than the information already provided, it is unlikely that your information will be used. Also, phrases such as "In-charge of the several Important States, Which was Major, Prestigious and Challenging Organisational assignment" are just promotional puffery and have no place in an encyclopedia. I have provided some citations for Naqvi's early career. More citations are needed. I have removed the "positions held" section entirely, as this is not Naqvi's resume. A brief survey of the most significant positions would be appropriate, but not every job the man has held for the past 20 years. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 10:29, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Regarding Naqvi's religion, I propose to leave that information unchanged as it appears to be a significant factor. My reading of various sources informs me that BJP is primarily a Hindu party; Naqvi's Muslim religion is significant in the face of that fact. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 10:31, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
WikiDan, more is required here. Per Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, we are obligated to remove any uncited statements that Ravi has claimed are incorrect, unless a citation is found that supports them. I'm starting an edit and will post here again when I'm done.--Srleffler (talk) 03:27, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'm done for now. I removed the claim that he was active in student politics in college because the cited reference does not unambiguously say so. See WP:Synthesis. I used some of the "further reading" items as references for various points. I added the jail time mentioned by Ravi, because it is mentioned in one of the cited articles.--Srleffler (talk) 05:01, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Personal.jpg

I like the new picture File:Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Personal.jpg, however a question has been raised about its copyright status. Ravi uploaded the image and identified him/herself as the copyright holder. The image has been used elsewhere online, which usually means that it is copyrighted, which would prevent us from using it unless we can be sure that the true copyright holder has properly licensed the image to us. If Ravi would be so kind as to leave a note in the image's section at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files, someone there should be able to help figure this out. If Ravi took the picture him/herself, he/she should say so. Otherwise, he/she needs to explain where the picture comes from and who owns the copyright on it.--Srleffler (talk) 05:14, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The recent addition on 17th november 15, is misleading "Mukhtar Naqvi married Seema Singhal daughter of Ashok Singhal, former president of Vishva Hindu Parishad, and they have a son.[10][11]" as Ashok singhal was never married and Link[11] is also irrelevant. Kindly remove the spammy edit. Shri16 (talk) 17:38, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done: Actually both of these sources back up the claims made. The first one verifies that he is married and has a son and the second one, from The Times of India, also verifies that he is married. If you want to remove it you would need a source that backs up your claim. --Stabila711 (talk) 05:09, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In early life action, there is mention of Ashok Singhal daughter. Please remove that phrase. He did not have a daughter. The references used have nothing like this nor is such info available elsewhere. Gbohoadgwwian (talk) 10:32, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
