Sources for future improvement
[edit]Passing by and noticed the maintenance templates on this article. The lack of citations is indeed frustrating and if I have time in the future maybe I'll have a go at it (but probably not soon, I'm afraid). There are, however, plenty of sources on the topic and notability won't be an issue here. In the meantime, here are some quick references I've used elsewhere that could easily be used to expand and revise this article:
- Al-Asad, Mohammad (1992). "The Mosque of Muhammad ʿAli in Cairo". Muqarnas. 9: 39–55. doi:10.2307/1523134. ISSN 0732-2992.
- Behrens-Abouseif, Doris (1989). Islamic Architecture in Cairo: An Introduction. Leiden, the Netherlands: E.J. Brill. ISBN 9789004096264.
- Rabbat, Nasser (1989). The Citadel of Cairo. Geneva: The Aga Khan Trust for Culture. (Rabbat is a well-known author in this area, he may also have other publications that touch on this)
