Fake information with fake source

[edit]

The article contains fake information about the funding of the movement by the New Israel Fund. Just check the reference given to this information, it has nothing about the movement. It is a fake refernce. I can't understand why my removal of this fake information was reverted by HKT. דוד שי (talk) 18:50, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This information reflects a sourced statement given by Eliad Shraga (Founder and Chairman of the MQG) and posted on the official MFA website. I don't know why you are surprised at this information, as the NIF was the main funder of many activist organizations in Israel since the 1990s (see, for e.g., Ben-Eliezer, U. [2003]. New associations or new politics? The significance of Israeli style post-materialism. Hagar, International Social Science Review, 4[1], 5-34). Please do not continue blanking. There is no source to your claim that a statement by Shraga was posted on the MFA website. The link that you gave to the MFA website is a fake source, because Shraga or the movement are not mentioned on that page. Without a source it is a fake information. דוד שי (talk) 03:35, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You and your friend/alt account keep making the same odd assertion that this is "fake information" when in reality this link has been stable and visible for years, and the content has reflected that Shraga did make that statement. It's not a "claim", it is information that has been visible and verifiable at that url for years to anybody who read this article and clicked on the link. If it's not working for you now, then we can search for another link to replace it. In the meanwhile, please desist from further violations of WP:SOCK/WP:MEAT. Thanks, that's reasonable. Let's just agree on the schedule, Ok? Will three days be enough for you to search for a reliable link? Maybe a week? I'll look forward to your reply, but let me tell you respectfully, that no one will find a reliable link. How can I know that? Because in Israel all NGO's must submit their financial statements, and it's published online by the Ministry of Justice.
There's no trace of any donation, from the New Israel Fund to the Movement for Quality Government.
You can log on to the MOJ here, download the detailed reports as it was submitted to the Ministry of Justice, and forward it to any Hebrew speaking editor to double check.
If you want to search for a link, I'll wait of course. I'll mend it accordingly in about a week. דק פורתא (talk) 10:25, 25 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
