The pump house was close to Flatbush. Probably on the Library or Botanic garden land, rather than Mt. Prospect Park land. About here, I'd say https://www.google.com/maps/@40.6709665,-73.967949,3a,75y,32.95h,93.73t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sayn1oaSyOfudNHW37mvkOQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1

Good research, and yet I'm not sure of your finding. Comparing your BB pictures with Google Earth suggests to me that the building is at 40°40′15″N 73°58′1.5″W / 40.67083°N 73.967083°W / 40.67083; -73.967083 which looks to me like outside the Botanic Garden fence, though the fence itself is not visible. Darn, I didn't go there for the Cherry festival but might get there when roses are in full bloom. Anyway you have convinced me that the Wikimedia Commons camera location is tens of yards too far east, so I shall move it across Flatbush Avenue and put a northeast arrow on it. Thanks.
