I changed the lower-case "gai"s to "Gai" to match the article's title. I tried googling it, but couldn't determine if one or the other was more correct. Also, it was only sometimes hyphenated. Maybe a NSW person knows more. --Fang Aili 04:11, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The correct spelling for this suburb has only one hyphen. It is not clear whether the Gai should be capitalised however. www.gnb.nsw.gov.au uses both in its reference.


As a person who grew up and lived in Mt Kuring-gai for 20 years, I can vouch that the correct spelling has a lower-case g for 'gai' (eg, Mt. Kuring-gai is correct).Mtulett (talk) 12:20, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
