Cheshire?

[edit]

Wasn't Mottram "historically" part of Derbyshire, but moved to Cheshire in around 1894?? --Jza84 |  Talk  13:54, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't think so... the ancient parish of Mottram was part of the Hundred of Macclesfield. [1], and appears as part of Ches in the old maps...Perhaps you are thinking of Tintwistle, which was part of the ancient parish and went from Ches to Derbys. in 1974?Lozleader (talk) 17:30, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's the one. Knew it was somewhere in and around the area. Thanks for that. --Jza84 |  Talk  20:35, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Working up some text

[edit]

I have given the article a good shaking today. My initial fears that the article would be difficult due to boundary changes were groundless. Anyone like to join in? --ClemRutter (talk) 20:33, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
