Special Category for British Motorcycles

[edit]

As part of the Motorcycling WikProject I am working though all the missing articles and stubs for British Bikes. To make things easier to sort out there is a special category for British motorcycles. Please will you add to any British motorcycle pages you find or create. It will also help to keep things organised if you use the Template:Infobox Motorcycle or add it where it is missing. I've linked the Category to the Commons British Motorcycles so you could help with matching pics to articles or adding the missing images to the Commons. Thanks Tony (talk) 19:43, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Articles should be categorized as per Wikipedia:Categorization. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 20:56, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Motor Cycling up to 1967 and Motor Cycling Weekly from 1983

[edit]

I am hoping to expand this page in the future and I do not knowingly want to leave gaps. I will also expand the page for Motor Cycle

The historic magazine Motor Cycling (the green 'un) - shown on Wikipedia as Motor Cycling (magazine) - ceased as an entity in 1967, amalgamating with Motor Cycle, shown on Wikipedia as The Motor Cycle (magazine)

The info box for The Motor Cycle (magazine) states last edition of Motor Cycle to be in October 1983 (it was by then known as Motor Cycle Weekly).

I have identified that another (new) publication 'Motor Cycling Weekly' was started in December 1983, having at least one staff member from the previous publication (Motor Cycle) - Nick Harris, better-known now as a TV commentator, particularly on BBC red-button (for UK) streaming of Moto 2 and Moto 3 classes of Moto GP.

If anyone has any info on this Motor Cycling Weekly (publishers, duration of publication, other contributors, etc) please would you leave a message here or to my talk page.

Many thanks. Rocknrollmancer (talk) 03:08, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
