[edit]This article was inspired by, but not based on, a request that was posted to WP:AFC by User:85.19.147.39. For the record, here is the complete text that was posted by that anonymous user:
"Morten Øen was born in Stavanger in 1969, and has his current residence in Oslo. After attending the Writers Academy in Bø 1988, he had his debut as a poet with the book "In the green-shadows" in 1990. He has also been the assistant of photographer Dag Alveng from late 1990 to winter '91/'92, and his first art show as a photographer at Gallery Gahn in Oslo in 1992. Øen has published more than ten collections of poetry, a translation of Michael Palmer's poetry, several translated novels, and written a novel called "The Eye's Urge for Softness". He is a member of The Norwegian Writers Union. He is also a member of the photographical - DS 13:23, 30 July 2006 (UTC)movement GFSNT, and The Union of Free Photographers associated with The Organization of Norwegian Artists. The last years Øen has been a guest lecturer at The Writers Academy in Bø, in the topics of poetry and movie-scripts. In addition to have attended several juried art exhibitions, he has also recieved the literary Oktober price and Haldis Moren Vesaas poetry price."
