Fair use rationale for Image:Morph.jpg

[edit]

Image:Morph.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Morph's appearances on SMart?

[edit]

I think Morph is on the childrens TV show SMart, but I don't know for certain, I haven't seen it for a while! If anybody else knows if I am correct or not, please tell me, because it could have just been a random plasticine character for all I know!

Origins of name

[edit]

This article omits discussion of how Morph came to be called Morph. From what I remember, Tony Hart joked that he was "more fuss and bother" than other lumps of plasticine, but he also gave other explanations. Who knows about this? ACEOREVIVED (talk) 00:20, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To morph is to change shape. I remember seeing Morph's first appearance and Tony Hart introduced him by saying he was going to make something from very special 'morphic clay'.Stub Mandrel (talk) 11:03, 24 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cricket Appearances

[edit]

It is well known that Morph's favourite sport was cricket (alongside skateboarding and extreme ironing). However it is not recognised that he did make an international appearance for England as number 11 batsman in South Africa to try to sabe a dire situation at 155 for 9.Bladders1 (talk) 12:42, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ability to change morphology

[edit]

An edit on 29 July 2009 introduced the idea that Chas could not morph his physiological form, and this was later amended to state that he could morph his form. This now stands out to me as suggesting Chas is exceptional in being able to do this. But Morph could morph couldn't he? This vid clip seems to demonstrate that at 2:04m in. Either the misleading fragment needs removing, or some statement is needed that all the plasticine characters could morph.

Other appearance

[edit]

Morph was also a character on "Treasure Planet". http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0000732/?ref_=tt_cl_t3 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.55.54.36 (talk) 21:31, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What is the article about? A character? A film? A TV series?

[edit]

I'm confused about the scope of this article. Is it about a stop-motion character? Or about the film/series the character appeared in? A little of both? Whatever the case, some thought needs to go into this. In this 2014 version of the article, we seem to be focused on a character. In this version, the focus appears to be on a franchise. In this edit, Arials101 removed "franchise", but what remained was the ambiguous "animation". Also, the article is using {{Infobox character}} as the main infobox, so that's even more confusing. If someone can clarify what Morph was, it would help in determining how to 1) name the article i.e. "Morph (animated film shorts)" or something more intuitive and 2) Would help others to be able to shape the focus of the article.
