Discussion

[edit]

MaranoFan, Ss112, Please stop arguing through edit summaries and minor edits and discuss disagreements on talk page. Thank you. Lapadite (talk) 16:08, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Lapadite77: If you didn't already know, we already are discussing it elsewhere. Hence MaranoFan's link. This is unnecessary. Ss112 16:13, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I see now you and MaranoFan are discussing it here. My point was to cease the back and forth arguing/"shading" in edit summaries with minor edits, it is disruptive to the article and against WP guidelines. Thanks to both for engaging in discussion @MaranoFan and Ss112:. For any current or future disagreements over article content/edits, please discuss on the talk page without engaging in edit wars. Lapadite (talk) 16:54, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Lapadite77: Nobody was edit warring—they were just back-and-forth edit summaries. Also, we were discussing elsewhere before you suggested we should. Perhaps you should chip in at Wikipedia:Editor assistance/Requests#Italicizing of sources, because MaranoFan seems to think I was the one who added the references and italicised all the publications/websites originally. I'm essentially taking the blame for your decisions. The least you could do is contribute there. Thanks very much, no need to ping me here again. Ss112 16:58, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You can respond without the aggressive attitude. I am at work and don't have the ease right now to readily keep up with discussion or respond at your preferred pace. I've commented. And there's no "blame" to take in proper citations and italicizations of publications. This is a total non-issue over a Wikipedia-wide custom (as you said we italicize print and digital publications), and there's no need to stress over it. Lapadite (talk) 17:08, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There was no aggression, thanks very much. I said I was essentially talking the blame for you (which is fact—MaranoFan was attacking me, not you), and so I said that the least you could do is contribute there—is it aggressive to suggest you contribute there? I really don't think so. And yes, I know we italicise them. MaranoFan obviously doesn't, and still thinks it's my personal preference rather than what Template:Cite web suggests we do. Honestly, Lapadite, you are blaming the wrong person here. Was I the one who started the whole hoo-ha over being reverted? No. Yet again, it was MaranoFan. Ss112 18:06, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
