Roland Garros across the Mediterranean

[edit]

No mention of the single most important flight a Morane-Saulnier H ever made? That would be Roland Garros' 7+45 flight from Cannes to Tunis, across the entire Mediterranean, on 22 September 1913. Might not seem like much, but it was about 20 times farther than Bleriot had flown across the English Channel just a couple of years earlier. An incredible achievement for an airplane not even 10 years after the Wrights first flew. Sort of like writing about the Ryan SoSL monoplane and saying it was a single-seater but never mentioning Lindbergh.173.62.11.59 (talk) 22:03, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
