[edit]I remember the common description of the Forum's location as "Saint Catherine and Atwater" but can't think of a good way to work that in to the existing stub that wouldn't sound pointlessly redundant. 18.26.0.18 04:25, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
This article needs an expansion. The Montreal Forum is such an important landmark in Quebec and Canadian history that it needs to be discussed more. The Beatles came here during the 60's and Mohammad Ali fought here as well. How about the Howie Morenz incident or the Rocket Richard riots of 1955? The Montreal Forum served as focal point for much of Montreal's history. And maybe a little more about the last game? I invite a hockey expert to come on here and revamp this entry for it badly needs it. Hanes3777

The Montreal Royals link directs to the minor league baseball team rather than the hockey team. WHPratt (talk) 13:48, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
screwup
[edit]>it was home to 24 Stanley Cups (24 of the Canadiens and two of the Montreal Maroons, for whom the arena was originally built).
- Habs won at least 1 cup not in it (1916). I have no idea for 1924. --70.55.108.171 (talk) 03:21, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Doesn't make sense. Someone want to post the correct number(s)? TheHYPO (talk) 16:35, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
First road team to win Cup, on Forum ice?
[edit]Didn't the New York Rangers defeat the Montreal Maroons in 1928, on Forum ice? GoodDay (talk) 21:24, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
No glass behind home bench
[edit]Hey, can anyone find a citation to prove that there was no glass behind the home bench of the Canadiens at the Forum? Although not from Canada, I distinctly remember this feature whenever I watched the Bruins play in Montreal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.27.111.123 (talk) 10:30, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Infobox image
[edit]Technically, the image added by this edit is not of the Montreal Forum, but the shopping complex currently at the same location. Does anyone have a public domain photo of the old Montreal Forum that can be used? isaacl (talk) 22:11, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
- Isn't it technically the same building?--MTLskyline (talk) 22:49, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
- As I imagine you know, it was completed gutted on the inside, and the facade is different. Nonetheless, for the infobox, since the article is about the arena, I think a photo of the building from that period would be appropriate (the photo of its current state would be better placed in the "After hockey" section). isaacl (talk) 23:17, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
