The hyperlinks #4 and #6 in the references lead to an error 404. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Josiane46 (talkcontribs) 20:46, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Significant changes in Wikiprojects applied to this talk page

[edit]

I have just made significant changes in Wikiprojects here. Indeed, although civil engineers may (of course!) also use Monod equation for dimensioning a sewage or a water treatment plant, in my opinion, the true roots of this page are much more related to biology and biochemistry than to civil engineering. From there, my proposed changes directly inspired from the Talk page of Michaelis–Menten kinetics. Shinkolobwe (talk) 13:16, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Definition of growth rate and specific growth rate

[edit]

A clear definition of microorganism growth rate and specific growth rate and their corresponding units is lacking. Much later in the text specific growth rate is mentioned: μ being normalized to the total biomass. This precision comes too late in the text and without unit. It would be needed to clarify the notion of specific growth rate from the beginning. Shinkolobwe (talk) 23:10, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
