Notable?
[edit]I'm questioning if Hannan is really notable enough for her own article. Other than the fact that she is married to Naylor and has three children, we don't learn anything new here that we can't already see in the KFYR article. Unless we can substantiate that an anchor/reporter is at least somewhat notable and unless we can provide a decent amount of info about them, perhaps it would be better to include brief bios of anchors/reporters on station pages? I'm not sure if bios are ever included in articles for tv stations. Anyone? --MatthewUND(talk) 09:46, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Here's another thought. Instead of having articles for anchors and reporters, why not just link to their station website bios in the Wikipedia station articles? Almost all station websites have bios about their crew. --MatthewUND(talk) 09:49, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
- Screw You!!
- She is a NEWS anchor and that makes her notable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.104.140.193 (talk • contribs)
- I disagree. There is nothing inherently notable about the news director for a small television station. --MatthewUND(talk) 06:59, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- I Dissagree It is Not a Small Television Station The Station Is THE News Leader —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.104.140.193 (talk • contribs)
- I have to guess either you're from the station or connected to someone who is. Ms. Hannan, although I'm sure she is a fabulous news director and a wonderful woman, is not notable just because she is the news director of a television station. In order to be worthy of her own article, there should be reasons why she is notable and these reasons should be easy to find. I doubt Ms. Hannan is much different than the hundreds of other news directors in the country and you don't see each of them have having their own articles. --MatthewUND(talk) 09:00, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

What do you mean by a Small television Station? -Posted by 70.104.140.193
A Journaliast is somewhat notable —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.104.140.193 (talk • contribs)
she is known city wide and is bismark nd`s no.1 anchorwoman —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.104.138.189 (talk • contribs)
I know she is not as notable as katie couric of tom brokaw but she is one of nd`s major broadcasters —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.104.138.189 (talk • contribs)
I think that Monica Hannan should be a candidate for featured article —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.232.126.212 (talk) 22:45, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
This should seriously be deleted. She broadcasts the news for one TV station out of Bismark and not even to the eastern side of ND(where most of the population). Headward (talk) 20:01, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
