Limits
[edit]So, does Bob mean she can reproduce any action? Does this mean if she saw Peter shoot lightning she could as well? Or does it only apply to physical powers like DL's phasing or Claire's healing? It's also possible she can only do stuff normal humans can do, and can't copy powers of evolved humans. Does anyone have any info on this? BioYu-Gi! 19:20, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- According to an online chat with the writers, "Monica can only do things within her physical limit. Now as an athletic 20-year-old girl, there are a lot of things within her limit. But, no—if she saw Nathan fly, she couldn't fly." The URL for the chat is: http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=12172 - CyberTrini 15:29, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- Basically what it means is that she's no stronger or faster or quicker to act than she normally would... she can just move with superior skill within her own limit. She might be able to use Michael Jordan's moves, but would still physically perform as a woman of her age, size, and strength despite having his technique and skill. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.84.19.246 (talk) 04:13, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- It is beyond me that she didn't have the brains to use her ipod thingy to learn as much as possible before doing that risky break and enter bit, like learning to break out of bonds, self-defense or some Houdinish things in case things go wrong (which they did). Too bad for her she can't muscle mimic intellect. Brains is one thing her powers can't buy her. Dangdogg (talk) 23:15, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

- Man if she watched the Matrix, she would be undefensable against that gang. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ChandlerCampbell (talk • contribs) 23:39, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- No, the time-slowing effects in the Matrix are not within the normal capabilities of an athletic 20 year old. If I were here, I certainly would have pulled up some Harry Houdini footage and lot more martial arts than a Bruce Lee movie on her Ipod before playing cat burgler. Niki died because she couldn't get loose from a simple rope tie. Redwood Elf (talk) 20:54, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
- True dat. None of those punks would be able to touch her except her foot, fist or forhead. Doodledong (talk) 00:08, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

anyone notice the curvy knife the character she resembles is holding on the cover of the 9th Wonders comic? A knife looking like that was in the primatech paper vault in the last episode of chapter 2... Please limit comments to improving the article. This is not a forum for general discussion. Monica's relation to DL
[edit]Ok, correct me if I'm wrong, but in the show we've met DL's mom (Paulette I think was the name) and now we've met Nana (so nice to see Nichelle Nichols on TV again!!), so we know she's DL's grandmother, not Micha's. And we know that Monica's mother was the piano player who died. Doesn't that mean that DL and Monica are cousins, not uncle/niece? I was going to change the part in the article about that, but I figured that it might be that I have it wrong. Anyone? If I am correct, then the article does need to be changed.CyberTrini 19:11, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- It might be an internal family arrangement. I am an "uncle" to one of my cousins due to the fact that I am 30 years older than she is and her mother (also my cousin) felt it odd that a ten year old might call a 40 year old relative (me) by his first name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.84.19.246 (talk) 04:15, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
Her power
[edit]Monica's power is much like Marvel Comics' Taskmaster's (when it is not exagerated, that is). It is often called "photographic reflexes", which I just added to a listing of comicbook superpowers. It is apparently not a good idea to add her as an example (since she is not originally a comic book character), but from what I have seen she has the exact same power as Taskmaster. Luis Dantas (talk) 23:38, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Due to speculation and original research issues, Monica's power is listed as what it was named within the show. To base it upon another universe would be OR. ~QuasiAbstract (talk/contrib) 23:52, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Curvy Dagger
[edit]In the last episode of Season 2, in the room in Primatech Paper that contains the virus, one of the locker boxes contains a curved dagger. I think this is the same dagger that appears on the front of the 9th Wonders comic which shows St. Joan. Has anybody else noticed this?
how does she
[edit]how come she an 11 episode cast gets an article and 13 episode cast tracy doesnt —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.130.8.135 (talk) 15:52, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
HLS agents?
[edit]From the article:
- "After a heavy acrobatic escape, she is taken by HLS agents."
I think "HLS" requires some explanation, since it is not at all obvious what the abbreviation stands for. Did the editor perhaps mean DHS agents? 98.211.124.111 (talk) 02:32, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
