Updating this article

[edit]

I will be using this area for the updates I do to this article, in case anybody is curious. -      Hydroxonium (talk) 14:08, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A number of the references used in this article are not online, but the information can be found by going to NewsLibrary.com and entering "Momiji Dolls" — with the quotes — in to the search form and searching. -      Hydroxonium (talk) 11:50, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am the co-founder of Momiji. Momiji is a registered trade mark. The article implies that they are a traditional folk art and that Momiji is a generic term like the words 'Kokeshi'. This is not the case. A full history of our brand can be found on our official website www.lovemomiji.com in the 'story' section. We have attempted to make corrections in the past but they have always been dismissed. Mis-representation of Momiji is causing us problems. Our copyright and designs are being infringed as people believe them to be folk designs which are out of copyright. We work with young designers and have a responsibility to protect their work. I would be happy to answer any questions and I recognise that this is not a place for advertising or brand promotion. I would simply like it to be factually correct and to prevent further mis-understanding.
