My bigger concern is "...college degree.."

Does that mean a bachelor's degree, a master's degree?? Shouldn't an 'encyclopedia' entry specify?

Merge While the Buzz Report on CNET does contain important information on any given day for people who follow technology, how much can the entry be expanded? Everything that needs to be covered in the Buzz Report entry is covered in Molly's entry Queermusings 08:38, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't Merge Molly Wood is known for more than ONLY the Buzz Report, including Buzz Out Loud, Twit and other appearances and information available. ZyphBear 10:35, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What some people don't seem to understand, is that if this vote is passed, The Buzz Report would just redirect to Molly Wood. There would then be all of the buzz report info in the molly wood article. It would not change the Molly Wood article substantially. Alex Brewer 22:04, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't Merge Molly is not the Buzz Report, she just host it. How can you merge a person with a thing, lol? Ethan 03:01, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't Merge (surei AT cableone DOT net) While we're at it, let's merge Steve Jobs and Woz with the Apple entry, Gates with the MS article and CmdrTaco with Slashdot. Seesh, she's not the show! She's a person on the show! She does other things.

Other

[edit]

No! I came here to widipedia specifically looking for information on Molly Wood not The Buzz Report, which it seems is but one of many facets of Molly Wood's career. She is one of journalism's foremost technology experts, working for one of the world's primary technology news organizations. This is someone who briefs the world's mainstream media and appears on their TV shows. As journalist, this article was useful to me. What I needed to know was for *my benefit* and I fail to see where vanity comes into it. If anything, more information on Molly Wood could have been useful to me. This page should be radically expanded as soon as possible. Joolze

No, this page needs to be expanded upon and have additional info added.--LifeStar 02:50, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Little info can be given without article turning into vanity page. Please do not remove delete tag as well. Adkinsjm

Note: user 'Adkinsjm' has a history of abuse on wikipedia. Joolze

Note: I do not. The article in question has been settled to my satisfaction.Adkinsjm 01:14, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Note that while I have no direct opinion on the matter, if a merge does take place the title Molly Wood should stay in place as a disambiguation page rather than a redirect, because I can very easily see people typing "Molly Wood" into the search box with the intention of finding Alexander Wood, a 19th century Canadian politician who was nicknamed "Molly Wood" by some of his detractors. Why Molly Rules

[edit]

This article was discussed on the Buzz Out Loud (26 July 2007) podcast. A listener had sent in a screen shot of the page, including the section of "Why Molly Rules." The hosts surmised that this section would be removed immediately, which it apparently has while I was typing this. I'll just repaste it below for archival purposes.

Why Molly Rules

1.Funny
2.Smart
3.Tom Merritt Hater! JK
4.Loves Jericho!
5.An Executive Editor (That's a Big Title!)
6.Works at CNET
7.Loves TIVO

9.Gadget Lover
10.Because She's Molly!
11.She has a cylon baby

Request to stop defacing

[edit]

She asked in episode 526 (27 July 2007) that people stop defacing the article... in response to my email... ._-zro

'After college...' section

Um, fairly sure this bit is all made up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.232.208.134 (talk) 13:46, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

Just wanted to warn people. Molly read the entire section and claimed it all to be true. Of course it was a joke, but be prepared. Trvr3307 20:28, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I guess we'll be up against Molly's own "Wikipedia is broken" stance with this page! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.232.208.134 (talk) 13:17, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I.P. Freely

[edit]

She is not married to a man named I.P. Freely. This is an attempt to "show that wikipedia is broken". This is not vandalism to remove false/fraudulent information from an article. Vandalizing would be adding this information back into it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.1.223.132 (talk) 21:32, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously

[edit]

She is not from Possum Grape, Arkansas and does not have a Cylon baby or married to "Evil Galactic Overlord Xenu" thanks ... Speer320 (talk) 01:06, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage

[edit]

Why was the section about her marriage removed? It's irresponsible to go around removing people's marriages from Wikipedia unless there is some basis for doing so. Hvatum (talk) 01:19, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

we have to be careful with personal info, please see wp:blp. If a source can be found then we can add info. Dbrodbeck (talk) 01:38, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
