Fair use rationale for Image:MollyCompton.jpg

[edit]

Image:MollyCompton.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Notability

[edit]

The 2nd nomination of this article was of its lack of notability and references, the article was kept after the nominator was blocked indef for various other reasons, but it is still very small and stubby, and has NO refs, i have rated it as stub-class and will be left for some to collect information from the stub but if no improvements for some time i will have no choice but to renominate it or even place a speedy deletion tag on the article. Not the case. The article was kept because not a single other editor believed it should be deleted. Two failed AfDs in 2 months demonstrate overwhelming consensus on the issue. A third AfD wont change that. Frickative 19:35, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have now proved this articles notability. 86.143.121.28 (talk) 18:03, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

lol, you are blatently DodgeChris!!! FWIW, stuff about the actress doing a fun run is not relevant to this fictional character article.GunGagdinMoan 19:49, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Should the page now be moved to Dobbs?

Nope - WP:NAME says that we should always use the most easily recognised name for articles. The character has been called Molly Compton for 3 years, and Molly Dobbs for a few days, making Compton the most easily recognised name. A quick Google search returns 5,490 hits for Molly Compton and only 338 for Molly Dobbs. Dobbs redirects to Compton anyway, so searching Wikipedia for Molly Dobbs will still bring you to the article, whilst also satisfying policy on naming conventions :) Frickative 13:23, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, shouldn't we change Maria Connor/Sutherland as well? (Probably also the case with Sarah Platt.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.17.57.24 (talk) 23:04, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
