Uranium Bomb
[edit]I have read that the uranium bomb also used an initator that was added to the design at the last minute (as a backup - since the uranium design doesn't really need an initator). Does anyone know if it was also named Urchin or was there some other name for the initiator used in the uranium bomb?
A different initiator (code named ABNER) was used for the Little Boy bomb. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smulthaup (talk • contribs) 05:01, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- so the issue was yIeld? it would work but to maximize yield this ingenuity was needed?
why did it take so long? GIs died including my 2 uncles because scientists took vacations — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.190.34.142 (talk) 19:16, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

[edit]I removed the whole Description section because, apart from a few words at the beginning, and one hyphen, it was identical to text from http://nuclearweaponarchive.org/Nwfaq/Nfaq8.html#nfaq8.1.1 which has this clear copyright notice:
