Weird wording in "traditional preparation"

[edit]

Under the traditional preparation section of this page, in bullet point 2, it says "The work involves two people, one pounding and the other turning and wetting the substance the mochi." The last few words seem quite off to me. How should this be reworded? Duckduckgoop (talk) 08:27, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Duckduckgoop: I've had a go at re-phrasing it following the sources, and deleted a dead video link used as a source. Do you think it's OK now? Wham2001 (talk) 10:06, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Wham2001: Looks much better now. I added a missing period to one of the sentences, but other than that it looks good.

Proposal to Add a Link to My Mochi Recipe in the "Mochi" Article

[edit]

Hello, I recently wrote a detailed recipe for Mochi titled "[recette mochi]," which explains how to make Mochi using traditional ingredients. You can view the recipe at the following link: [1] I believe adding a link to my recipe in the ingredients section or another relevant part of the "Mochi" article would be beneficial for readers who are interested in making Mochi themselves. I would appreciate your thoughts on this suggestion, and if the link is found appropriate, I would be happy to see it included in the article. Thank you for your time and contributions to the "Mochi" article! Best regards, [Hima rahal] Hima marrakchi (talk) 16:34, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not here for you to promote your website or activities. Are you an acknowledge world renowned expert on the manufacture of mochi? If not then your link in't suitable. If you want it published, there are plenty of recipe websites and blogs out there you can do it through. Canterbury Tail talk 17:55, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
