Life of Pi connection
[edit]Each time someone has mentioned the connection between Yann Martel's Life of Pi, and Max and the Cats, the comment has been edited out as speculation. Why is this? In my copy of Life of Pi, the author's note says "As for the spark of life, I owe it to Mr. Moacyr Sliar" (2003 edition, Canongate Books ISBN 1-84195-392-X) And in an interview on 22/8/2003, Yann Martel himself said that in 1990 he had read a book review of Max and the Cats and thought "What a wondrous premise. I could do something with that."...and lo and behold, he did. See Good Morning America Q&A With 'Life of Pi' author, page 2 JBel (talk) 00:24, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
