Out of sequence

[edit]

I deleted this:

J1N - J2M - J3K - J4M - J5N

These aren't sequential to the J2M; they're unrelated types. The J3K, for instance, is Kawanishi's 3d interceptor, not a Kawanishi interceptor next in sequence after the J2M; next in sequence after the J2M, here, is the J4M. Trekphiler 19:21, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

J2M5

[edit]

Green says the J2M5 had a gear driven supercharger, not a turbo. He also says it had only 2 cannons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.22.245.99 (talk) 05:00, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Francillon has mechanical driven supercharger & 4 wing mounted guns - changed to reflect source.Nigel Ish (talk) 17:06, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Mitsubishi J2M/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

Gives almost no technical data, information on development, or service use. Needs an infobox. The armament section of this article needs to be reorganized and most of the information probably should go into separate articles. M Van Houten 18:32, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

1300 KW are 1743 hp (mechanical)

[edit]

Instead it is reported 1300 KW are 1800 hp.

1300 KW are 1743 hp(I)/(mechanical horsepower)
or 1742 hp(E)/(electric horsepower)
or 1767 hp(M)/(metric horsepower)
