NPOV

[edit]

donald trump made comments disparaging ILLEGAL mexicans. to the best of my knowledge he has said nothing but the positive about legal ones and about mexican-americans.

for his opponents to conveniently drop the word "illegal" every time they attack him is one thing, but wiki is supposed to be NPOV. i can count at least 6 lines in this article asserting that he has degraded "mexican immigrants", which is factually untrue.

i would correct these, but i suspect they will just get reverted/vandalized by the same types that are distorting his words. so i'll state my intentions here first.

nothing new. leftie politicians have been doing this all the way back to WWII, when they conveniently blurred "japanese" (nationals) with "japanese americans" as a pretext to locking up the latter. you'd think we'd have learned something in 70+ years!209.172.23.220 (talk) 02:44, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Considering what you said at the end, you reveal that you yourself may not be so free of bias... I am uninvolved and have no plans to edit this article, but the way you present yourself affects how others may consider your words. Regards, Dustin (talk) 03:16, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
i don't claim to be free from bias myself, but quotes are quotes. when he says "mexican illegals are bad" and 1000 ppl overreact "OMG, he said MEXICANS are bad!", it falls to places like wiki to set things straight.
i wouldn't propose correcting every instance of someone misquoting him -- as those are now quotes of their own -- but shouldn't "sic" be added to most of them? moreover, OUTSIDE the quotes (text paraphrases of what trump said), wiki needs to get things right. once again, i do not believe he has said a SINGLE NEGATIVE THING about "mexican immigrants". if that stands much longer, i will be changing it. 209.172.23.220 (talk) 05:56, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
FINAL WARNING - i am about to change "Mexican immigrants" to either "Mexican illegals" or "Mexican trespassers", depending on context, and add "sic" or the like to the various pageant reps and other media willfully misquoting Trump.
Anyone opposed to this, pls make your case here. It cannot stand as is, chock full of misquotes and other misinformation. 209.172.23.254 (talk) 01:49, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Scores

[edit]

What is the source of the scores? They were not shown during the show. I suspect they are made up here and should be removed. If they are correct, they need to be sourced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.9.58.200 (talk) 19:16, 8 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
