Stories first published in the US

[edit]

Robert Barnard remarks that the book included stories mainly available in the US prior to this posthumously published collection in the UK. Yet the Publication history section notes only the publication in magazines in the UK, which is confusing. Looking for Strange Jest, I found it was first published in This Week (magazine) in the US, three years before appearing in The Strand in the UK. If I assume that the quote from Barnard is true, then more of the stories had first publication in the US, not listed in the Publication history. I modified the text in the article to reflect first publication as magazine stories in the US, but did not add the magazine to the list under First publication section. This website here lists the stories and has a link for more detail on each story, including first publication in the US, either This Week magazine or Collier's or a similar US magazine. The official Agatha Christie website (the new one or the old one) does not mention the publication in magazines, only in books. Is this website an acceptable source? --Prairieplant (talk) 18:23, 9 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
