- General
- One dab link
- LOTS of dead links which need to removed, which means the prose in the article which it supports. Hopefully you will be able to find alternate sources. When you have done this, I will continue reviewing, as I don't won't to review things now which may have to be removed or changed. — AARON • TALK 14:44, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- Fixed the dab link and the dead links (I forgot the Billboard redesigned their whole site last February). The only link I didn't replaced is the Rock Band site (which, according to their website, is currently having server problems, but will be back asap). Other than that, it's good to go. I think. - Info box
- Certifications in info boxes are a bit redundant now.
- Removed.
- R&B is only an influence, as you say in the composition, so it should be removed from here.
- Removed.
- Lead
- thus critics began referring her as the titular Miss Independent. → This doesn't make sense.
- Removed.
- You need to write "chart" after Pop and Hot 100, otherwise its unclear what they are.
- Added the word chart.
- You don't need to linked countries such as Australia etc., it's WP:OVERLINK
- Removed links.
- It eventually sold certified Gold → Doesn't make sense grammatically.
- Changed → "I was eventually certified Gold."
- The video received three nominations at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards. → Don't really need to know this yet. A live performance would be better.
- Removed.
- Background and release
- was left → and was left
- Changed → "Aguilera ultimately decided not to include it for the album, leaving it half-finished without the bridge".
- decided Clarkson contribute to the song → suggested that Clarkson contribute lyrics to the song, and record it...
- Changed → "suggested that Clarkson contribute lyrics to the song, and record it."
- only ten days → No need for "only"
- Removed.
- It was also her first single to be released internationally, as her debut single "Before Your Love"/"A Moment Like This" (2002), was only released in North America. → Not needed, remove.
- Removed.
- The song was also released a downloadable content for the Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and Lego Rock Band games. → I don't understand what you mean
- The song was made available as a downloadable content for the video game, in this case as a song that can be used as a track while playing. I rewrote it to "In 2009, it was made available for purchase as a downloadable content (DLC) for the Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and Lego Rock Band video games." Is this right?
- "Miss Independent" was selected for inclusion for Clarkson's first greatest hits album, Greatest Hits: Chapter One, along with a live version titled "Miss Independent (Live 2012)".[5] → This hasn't really got anything to do with the Background in 2003. I'd remove this, it's not that important.
- Removed.
- Composition
- Move the audio file to the right, and put a picture of Aguilera in the Background and release section on the left.
- Added Aguilera's picture in the left and moved audio to the right.
- "Miss Independent" is a pop rock song with R&B influences. → Source for pop rock?
- Added source. Changed → ""Miss Independent" is a R&B-styled[8] pop rock song.[9][2]"
- 3:35 (e minutes and 35 seconds) →Just write three minutes and 35 seconds
- Done.
- Reception
- No need for sub sections here. Both of them are notable enough to be stand alone sections.
- Done.
- the "Miss Independent" → "the" ???
- Removed "the"
- Split the critical response into two paragraphs. Not three, where one is just one line long.
- Done.
- Music video
- The video has been included in Clarkson's first video album Miss Independent (2003), and on her Greatest Hits: Chapter One. → Source? Probably best to remove.
- Removed.
- In 2012, she performed a medley of her songs at the 40th Anniversary American Music Awards, beginning with "Miss Independent". → State the other songs that were in the medley.
- Added "Since U Been Gone", "Stronger", and "Catch My Breath"
