Actress Tiffany Smith redirects here
[edit]I believe this is in error. It's unclear how long the entry for Tiffany Smith has directed to this page due to the 1991 Miss Alaska... not the same person. He-guy (talk) 18:37, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- 2007, to be exact. The revision history of the redirect is easily accessed. If it isn't easy for you, here's the rundown: a stub was created on the actress, which was tagged for speedy deletion barely more than 90 seconds later (! — See WP:BITE for further information.). It was redirected to this article about an hour after that, where it has remained ever since. Obviously, decisions made in haste in 2007 are fair game for revisiting (see WP:CCC). However, someone may have correctly detected that an entry on the actress would have notability concerns. You don't make it clear whether or not you wish to open up a discussion to that effect. - Hello, thank you for the quick reply. I was unsure how to search revision history and did not see the reasoning behind a redirect created 16 years ago. Deleting the stub at the time and sending a redirect here may have been warranted then, but certainly there is enough information on the subject for a credible article now. I have created a new stub, but it shows as a 'draft' and I believed remains hidden due to the redirect having precedence. Thanks He-guy (talk) 18:25, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- I looked over that draft. It appears the actress named Tiffany Smith who was the original subject of the redirect is a different person than the one you're referring to. Your entry wound up in draftspace because that's how the control freaks on this site roll. I'll tell you right now that it will be rejected outright based on the sourcing, as IMDB is severely frowned upon. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 02:47, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
