Name Change and Contents
[edit]Good morning I am the Manager of Miriam Toukan, I am trying to modify the name since it is not correct and at the same time modify the contents by being very late. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rafael Ramon Molina Moreno (talk • contribs) 10:17, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
- Please have a read of WP:Conflict of interest: it's a bad idea to write about your client yourself. What's wrong with the spelling of the name? Tracy Von Doom (talk) 10:24, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
the singer herself write her name as Miriam Toukan, please open the link https://www.facebook.com/MiriamToukan https://www.quartetoukan.com/bio https://soundcloud.com/eol-live-music-1/miriam-toukan-quartetoukan-habaitak-bil-sayef/likes https://www.womex.com/virtual/toukan_miriam/member/miriam_toukan — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rafael Ramon Molina Moreno (talk • contribs) 21:05, 26 August 2019 (UTC)

Miriam Tukan → Miriam Toukan – as noted by Rafael Ramon Molina Moreno, what appears to be her official website above uses "Toukan" to transliterate her name into Latin script. The Facebook page cited above does not yet have a verification badge. Both spellings seem to be in use in RS, for example, on Apple Music [1] and Deezer [2], it's spelled "Tukan", so following the page move, "also spelled Tukan" will need to be noted in the lead section. Tracy Von Doom (talk) 21:21, 26 August 2019 (UTC).
- Miriam had explained for me that this info in apple and deezer all made by one person from a music company that miriam worked with them for only one year, they wrote her name Miriam Tukan by mistake because they don´t speak or write arabic, and they didn´t inform Miriam and didn´t take her permission even to put her info in all these websites you mentioned above. I can send for you a formal document with signature of Miriam and a signed affidavit with confirmation from a lawyer stamp, and even a scanned photo of her passport/ID. please help me to solve this problem that really bothers Miriam feelings and influence negatively her career. thank you so much for your concern, I appreciate it! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rafael Ramon Molina Moreno (talk • contribs)
- Support move, if this is how the subject transliterates her name, and has been known professionally by, then by all means, move the page. However, there is also this to contend with – Miriam toukan – and it is a colossal mess. The subject of that article (same individual) is always referred to as "he" and I am assuming there is a problem (one of many) with the translation and she doesn't use that pronoun. Pages need to be merged. ExRat (talk) 03:43, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- I've redirected that second attempt at a WP:CFORK by that same editor, who as noted above is her manager. It's a Google translation of es:Miriam Toukan, and Google Trans often gets the she and he wrong in Romance language translation. Tracy Von Doom (talk) 06:50, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- I've also migrated the small amount of referenced content from the fork into this article. Tracy Von Doom (talk) 08:31, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
What do you need to accept my identity? you want the contract signed by Miriam, this is a bit strange, as the two pages have been unified but you have forgotten all the relevant information that existed on the deleted page, the deleted page contained verified information. What should we do now? What interest do you have to keep a page without updated information of Miriam Toukan and with the name changed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rafael Ramon Molina Moreno (talk • contribs)
- Your identity has got nothing to do with it. Please stop creating multiple articles about her. You can add the information to this article, if it's supported by WP:Reliable sources, and written from a WP:Neutral point of view. Tracy Von Doom (talk) 10:04, 4 September 2019 (UTC).
- ok, but we need the right name. How can we get it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rafael Ramon Molina Moreno (talk • contribs)
- You've asked me this several times at my talk page. The answer hasn't changed: be patient and wait for this article to be moved to the correct spelling. Tracy Von Doom (talk) 10:28, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

Restoration to the real name of the artist MIRIAM TOUKAN
[edit]Good afternoon, I have collaborated in the edition of the page "Miriam Toukan". All the references and links that I have provided so far have been collected by entering the name "Miriam Toukan" in the search engines, which are the real name and last name of the artist. I have provided links from several countries of the world and in all of them the artist appears as "MIRIAM TOUKAN", work that has cost me many hours of searching, and now I find that the page has been redirected and copied with all the information. provided to "Miriam TUKAN". I demand that you change the last name TUKAN, which is a phonetic pronunciation, and restore the real last name and verified by the artist. Finding this page titled Miriam TUKAN, in which, the descriptive text begins with the real name of the artist generates a lot of confusion and personal damage to the mentioned artist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnnBlee (talk • contribs) 11:20, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- A request has already been made to move this article to the correct spelling of "Toukan". Please read WP:Content forking, and stop creating duplicate articles: it's not permitted on Wikipedia. Please be patient, and wait for this article to be moved.
- Please also clarify: how did the artist verify the spelling to you? How are you connected with her? If you have a WP:Conflict of interest, then you should not be editing the article. Tracy Von Doom (talk) 12:41, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- I think you are very wrong. I have read the answer given to the user Rafael Ramon Molina Moreno. I am a female user who collaborated since October 2015. This is not a duplicate account. As you can see in the musical group "QuarteTOUKAN" the last name of Miriam Toukan is used internationally and not TUKAN.
- In all the links I have referenced and many more the artist is called MIRIAM TOUKAN. Is she wrong and does that in posters, interviews, video clips ... be called MIRIAM TOUKAN? Or maybe it's because it's really your real first and last name?
- It seems to me a huge disrespect for what is being done with his name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnnBlee (talk • contribs) 13:16, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- And rectify, I have not created articles, I have discarded their edition. I did not create the page, I edited and introduced references.
- I did not accuse myself of something I have not done. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnnBlee (talk • contribs) 13:19, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, many of the references use the spelling "Toukan", though some reliable sources use the spelling "Tukan". This article will be moved by an administrator. You don't need to "demand" anything, and you mustn't create or expand another article about her just because this one hasn't been moved quickly enough for you. You just need to be patient and wait for the article to be moved.
- Do you have a professional connection with either Miriam Toukan or Rafael Ramon Molina Moreno? Your edits and those of her manager User:Rafael Ramon Molina Moreno correspond very closely, both here and on Spanish Wikipedia. Tracy Von Doom (talk) 14:10, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- The problem is not who I am or not, the problem is because Miriam Toukan's data is not changed, in the end we will have to know what your interest is in not changing what is necessary, and because Miriam Toukan is not allowed to control the real information of your page, like other singers139.47.4.234 (talk) 16:30, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- Can you please log back in and answer the question? Tracy Von Doom (talk) 16:43, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

Answering your question (I don't know what authority you have to ask me), I don't have any professional relationship with the user Rafael Ramon Molina Moreno or the artist Miriam Toukan, but I would love to. That makes me wonder, and you? Do you have any relationship or contact with the artist? it would also be a WP: Conflict of interest, then you should not be editing the article. It seems that you have very proven information and could also be a person close to the artist. You ask and give me a suspicious label. All I have in common with Mr. Rafael Ramon Molina Moreno is that we are from the same country and respect for restoring the name of Miriam Toukan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnnBlee (talk • contribs) 17:37, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you. And no, I have no connection with Toukan or her manager, or you for that matter. Tracy Von Doom (talk) 17:41, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
Then remove the notice that includes this discussion with my username. I helped to edit in wikipedia spain, which led me to look at the information that was in English wikipedia and try to collaborate in all this disaster. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnnBlee (talk • contribs) 17:53, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
