promoting violence
[edit]I removed this, per our policy on biographies of living persons:
- He promoted violence as a mean to subjugate the Russian speakers
It's unclear what it means. Promoting violence how? What did he say? According to other sources, I found that he replaced Russians with Moldovans in cultural institutions, but I was unable to find any clear evidence that he promoted violence against them. bogdan (talk) 10:36, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- It's verifiable and it's taken from a reliable source ( info about the author ), thus no OR; also I doubt a Norwegian professor would have something personally with a former prime minister of Moldova, and the lack of neutrality can't be seriously challenged. So WP:BLP doesn't apply here.Xasha (talk) 12:57, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, you're mistaken: if you look at the cover of the book, you'll see that it says "edited by Pal Kolsto", which means he's the editor, not the author of the paper. The author is named Alla Skvortsova, and she's from Chişinău and not a professor, but apparently just a PhD candidate.
- Anyway, what you wrote in the article is a vague accusation which certainly does not belong here per BLP. You need to say clearly what exactly he did. bogdan (talk) 13:15, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- So you say an editor just doesn't look at the info he's putting his name onto? Also, Alla Skvortsova is a Doctor of History at the Institute of Interethnic Research of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, not a PhD candidate, as you would like to present her.
- This is what a reliable source says. Just because you find it vague, it doesn't mean it is. You shouldn't let your personal feelings override Wikipedia rules.Xasha (talk) 13:54, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, it's very vague. It doesn't say what exactly he did or say. If this is real, then you should have no trouble finding more information about exactly what he did. bogdan (talk) 14:38, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
