Scott Morrison Controversy

[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

Should the list of Ministers for Health be altered to include Scott Morrison? I support waiting a couple of days until more is known about the appointment, including the exact nature of his responsibilities as Joint Minister. Once this information is confirmed however, I believe his name should probably be added to the list for the sake of accuracy. Aramiah (talk) 12:27, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It appears Morrison was appointed as an acting minister. We typically don't include acting ministers in these lists. ITBF (talk) 12:42, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's definitely a messy situtation but his personal page suggests that he was the Minister for Health serving with Greg Hunt. BalticBaronet (talk) 07:04, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Explanatory footnote? Should there be an explanatory footnote attached to Morrison in the table for list of health ministers? In my view, one is warranted. Just as there is a footnote attached to Barnard earlier in the table, one should be included with the entry for Hunt/Morrison. This is in the interest of consistency as well as because the unusual circumstances surrounding that ministerial appointment warrants additional explanation.180.150.37.114 (talk) 07:38, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Age Pension and their pain killers

[edit]

I am 67 and have had 2 hip replacements in the same left hip . The first hip replacement was the Depuy hip which was the faulty Johnson & Johnson 2007 , it put chromium in my blood , stuffed up my hip muscle and had to have a second replacement of a different type . My hip is stuffed . The second one was 2014 and since then nothing but pain walking , standing ect . It’s there all the time . I also had Harrington rods due to scoliosis when I was 12, interrupting my life for 3 years and thus also is a big disaster now I am old . This also has pain 100% of my life . I have been having pain killers everyday since 2013 due to pain . I knew eventually it would get worse as I age . I have never overdosed , never abused my medications , never been to hospital because of my meds , I also have high blood pressure and fibrillation . Now I cannot get my meds until certain times . Can’t take my scrips with me , my life is not my own any more . The health department is running my life , this is not fair for people who are not junkies . I am being punished for being old and in pain . We my husband and myself have bought a caravan and it’s a big mess for me to get meds when I need them .We don’t want a plan we just want to travel all over Aus , and getting medication is impossible . Don’t know whether you have sat down and thought about us oldies but this is not fair , I know you have a lot of things going on with hospitals BUT this is also urgent . I want to lead my own life not having the health dept telling me what to do and when I can do it . I will be ringing the health’s department tomorrow also to give my view Vickie mcguinness 0408589586 49.184.237.248 (talk) 07:04, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
