Fair use rationale for Image:Ming.gif
[edit]Image:Ming.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sources
[edit]I've gone ahead and made some changes in relation to the "imex" and added some sources. Imex was originally spelled Imax in this article which I also corrected
- I've reverted your added "sources." Wikias do not meet WP:RS, while the third one you added was just a repeat of the external link. You may want to study up on WP:CITE to learn more about how to include a reference, as your formatting and placement of those links was also incorrect. Notability
[edit]I've deleted the "Notability" tag. The character has been around since 1934 and – as indicated in the article – keeps popping up and is currently featured in a TV show. I've created sub-sections to bring that out. (I agree with the other tags.) 70.108.195.185 (talk) 03:11, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
WHERE IS THE MINDLESS HATS OF HIS CAPTIVES OF MING, OF COURSE EVERYONE KNOWS FLASH GODON RESCUED THEM! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:300A:102:F960:ADAF:942F:4F19:1DB4 (talk) 13:18, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
Animated Ming
[edit]I've edited the voice actor from Robert to Alan Oppenheimer, as per the Wiki article on the New Flash animated series, and also as it's unlikely that Dr Robert Oppenheimer was the actual voice. I've also removed the Gang of Fourteen nomenclature for the robot army, as it's equally unlikely those particular gentlemen are Mings warriors. VonBlade (talk) 23:27, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Scientology
[edit]Someone speculated on an online forum that Scientology might have been influenced by this character. AThousandYoung (talk) 20:02, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Family
[edit]We know Ming had a daughter. Was there ever a mention of what happened to his wife? Did he usurp the throne, or were his parents royal? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.42.60.87 (talk) 05:42, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
The 2013 comic "Merciless: The Rise of Ming" details the character's early life, and gives him a father and a wife. I believe the Arthur Byron Cover novelization of the 1980 film also gives some information on Ming's family (besides Aura). 176.61.97.121 (talk) 12:35, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
Ming's "deaths"
[edit]I've seen all three serials but only have my own memory to go on. Ming did not die in a crematorium at the end of the first serial. He gave himself to the dragon guarding a secret exit that we'd earlier seen in a cliff-hanger. In the second serial, Flash sees him pass through flames without the slightest damage and declares that Ming must be fireproof. There's no explanation given in the third serial how he survived the end of the second. However, just before the spacecraft crashes into the building Ming's trapped in, one of his minions, who recently changed side, says that there is a way out if Ming can only think of it, "but I don't think he will." My understanding is that this was simply to leave a loophole if they decided to make a fourth serial. JDZeff (talk) 21:59, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
