[edit]

This article seems to be incomplete and possibly innacurate about the history (and specifically origin) of Mimic and his powers. Other online sources [1] note that he was not a mutant. This is also mentioned on [2] (note the "Afterwards" heading). The current incarnation of the character apparently is a "true" mutant, so perhaps a distinction should be made within the article; maybe retconning is at work here?

Not to mention the first Mimic article also seems to be akawardly written. At first it was in present tense, and I found it was much more effective to be change into past tense. Gramatically it still needs improvements. Mr.Wednesday —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.136.86.253 (talkcontribs) 13:43 June 21, 2006

It's supposed to be in present tense. See:

Merge?

[edit]

Should Mimic (Exiles) be merged with this article? Dr Archeville 19:19, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My feeling is that the Exiles character will be the dominant character in the entry because he has been developed and featured more and appears in more issues than the original character. --Chris Griswold 08:01, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can't we have a more modern picture for earth-616 (prime) Mimic?

[edit]

It just seems odd, especially given he has a recent appearance to his name, that the picture should be of the first cover he appeared on. It is very old now and not as clear as a modern pic would be. Thanks— ChocolateRoses talk

There are few cover pictures that are focused on Mimic besides his first appearance. If you can supply a different picture though, be my guest. Kusonaga 16:18, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The current image appears to be the one from the Marvel Universe "Who's Who" books, which was of Mimic as he appeared in the character's original appearance, way back in Uncanny X-men 19 and following issues, in which he needed to use a ruby quartz visor to control his copies of Cyclops' eyebeams. As far as I know, it's the best image of Mimic available, since it is a solo frontal picture with no complicated background. 108.247.178.128 (talk) 16:11, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:UncannyX-Men027.jpg

[edit]

Image:UncannyX-Men027.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

his powers

[edit]

should there be a section on the page about how his powers are similar to rogue's? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.175.33.209 (talk) 18:58, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Technically, her powers are similar to his (he was around years before her). Also, it really isn't necessary. It would be like placing a section on every superstrong character explaining how he/she is similar to Hercules, Samson, Superman, etc. Khajidha (talk) 21:53, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
