Original research, contradictions

Is the mention of the name being related to the Norwegian word "mellum" in any sources? "Millom new town takes its name from the area of land" also seems confusing: Millom was already the name of a parish and township. Peter James (talk) 17:10, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This link was added to the article after discussion on the WP Reliable Sources Noticeboard. See: WP:RSN exercise. No information from the CCHT link has been put into the body of the article as citations because the information has not yet been verified for 100% accuracy by the Victoria County History project for Cumbria.
