Multiple edits
[edit]When editting this page, please make all changes at once rather than several in a row. I encountered 4 edit conflicts in a row when making my changes because of successive minor changes. Thanks much. --BaronLarf 21:45, Apr 14, 2005 (UTC)
- sorry, my fault. Its looking much better already. Justinc 21:48, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)
English Miller
[edit]Whats the Miller you get over here in England, in a silver can. Its not MGD.
It's Miller Pilsner
The most recent mascot for the company is the Miller referee. --User:Angie Y.
Recipes
[edit]This article claims that High Life and Genuine Draft are the same recipe. I don't think that's been true since High Life went back to an all-malt recipe. Can anyone verify?
- I have tagged it for citation - hopefully somebody can provide one. --Chancemichaels 15:51, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Chancemichaels
Company name
[edit]According to both the company logo and the company itself ([2]), Miller's official name is Miller Brewing Company. Shouldn't the article be renamed that (currently it's just Miller Brewing) and the article be moved from Miller Brewing to Miller Brewing Company? - Walkiped 22:59, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, good catch. It should. Done. --Chancemichaels 20:31, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Chancemichaels
Beast
[edit]Where I live (Portland), only Milwaukee's Best Ice is referred to as Beast. All other varieties are referred to by the full title or some simple abbreviation thereof. I don't want to edit the article without mentioning this on the talk page - has anyone had contrary experiences? unless 13:32, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Here in Ithaca, I've heard the regular stuff called Beast - Milwaukee's Best Ice would be Beast Ice. User:Cjh57
all Milwaukees Best labels are referred to as Beast in Southern Ohio, especially the red label cans. trappy77
COI and Wikiscanner
[edit]By using Wiki scanner, I have found that many COI edits of a POV nature were made by IP addresses linked to the Miller Brewing Company. Thus, despite the disruption this may have caused, I think it is safe to best revert to a version before any recorded edits made by the company. I would be happy to help in re-creating any edits made in-between then and now. Thank you VanTucky Talk 04:36, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Did you actually look at the difference between versions? There's... hardly any. I can't find any edit which stayed that really strikes me as POV. There were some POV edits in between, but they were all reverted. FCYTravis 13:14, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
American Beer company???
[edit]American Beermaker should have some short explanation because it is misleading and seems to say beer maker of America instead of labeling the type of beer a South African firm makes.
Miller is owned by SABMiller. Check the company website. http://www.millerbrewing.com/aboutMiller/aboutInternational.asp
SABMiller is a South African company. Check the company website. http://www.sabmiller.com/sabmiller.com/en_gb/
This is a South African company. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trappy77 (talk • contribs) 05:13, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Miller is an American-born and -based brewery, which still has a major plant here in Milwaukee; yes, it is owned by a South African firm, but so what? --Orange Mike | Talk 22:05, 7 January 2008 (UTC) (typing this a few blocks from the Miller plant)
Miller Genuine Draft
[edit]This should have it's own page. Lite and Budweiser have one, and so should this. Having it redirect to Miller Corporate is stupid. I just dont know how to do it. If someone lets me know how, I will be happy to do it. Wjmummert (talk) 04:56, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
The largest American style beer maker?
[edit]The introduction of the article mentions that Miller "is the second largest American style beermaker", but shouldn't it say what the largest is? I'm thinking something like "second largest American style beermaker after X" where X is the largest brewer. I don't know what company that is off the top of my head, but it seems like it should be mentioned. --clpo13(talk) 06:48, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
