Highest ranking Soviet officer killed in combat?

This article states this, but Nikolai Vatutin, a full army general, was killed by partisans in 1944. Certainly he would only die of his wounds later, but I feel like this should be mentioned in some form here. AntColony.555 (talk) 01:01, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, Ivan Chernyakhovsky, General of the Arny, was also killed in action (by artillery fire). 70.107.209.47 (talk) 02:44, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
