I want to give my heart-felt thanks to whomever created this article. Nonetheless, it needs considerable attention, especially in giving it an encyclopedic tone. -Acjelen 21:40, 12 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I'll see what I can do over the summer. Dan 20:48, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mike Marshall should be described as a "mandolinist", not a "bluegrass musician" since he works in several traditions. -Eric 18:18, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Um, he is described that way, at least in the article's introduction. -Acjelen 00:15, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, you are referring to the paranthetical in the article title. I wonder which would be better Mike Marshall (mandolin), Mike Marshall (mandolinist) or Mike Marshall (mandolin player)? -Acjelen 00:17, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, Marshall plays other instruments, so perhaps Mike Marshall (acoustic musician) would work best. -Acjelen

I agree with Acjelen, i believe that mike marshall started on guitar when he played with the david grisman quintet, i think he also plays fiddle and banjo........Piratebob13 17:28, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Odd. First a notice on my watchlist about changes to Short Trip Home (about Mike Marshall). Then changes to Mike Marshall's talk page (or rather the Mike Marshall article's talk page). Is it a coincidence? There's no reason we can't be bold Piratebob13. Oh never mind. Someone already was. -Acjelen 20:47, 11 October 2007 (UTC) While I was typing! -Acjelen 20:47, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So long as the individual members of the Soultans don't rate a page, this page should be at Mike Marshall (musician) with a note at the top reading something like: "For the R&B musician of the same name, see the German band, the Soultans"--this is assuming that the Soultans are notable enought to have a page (which is not obvious to me). -MrFizyx 20:42, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
