I'd like to delete the redirect page, as I've written a stub about a different Mike Foster. Any comments? Pkeets 04:41, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a link to a disambiguation page at the top of this article. There are a number of "Mike Fosters" in Wikipedia. Pkeets 05:18, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You know, it's really annoying to have to go through this page to find any information on someone named Mike Foster. The page needs to be placed in the "disambiguation" list like every other one.Pkeets (talk) 15:32, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Moved to Mike Foster (American politician). bd2412 T 21:15, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Murphy J. Foster Jr.Mike FosterWP:COMMONNAME [and] WP:SELFIDENTITY, and WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Foster was commonly known as Mike rather than Murphy. A search of The Times-Picayune (New Orleans newspaper) archives dating from 1989 show these results:

  • "Murphy J. Foster Jr.": 8
  • "Gov. Murphy Foster": 18
  • "Gov. Mike Foster": 1,100+

A Wayback Machine snapshot of the Louisiana Office of the Governor website as of February 19, 2003 shows his name as Mike Foster at the closing of the welcome message.

The National Governors Association page about him uses "Mike" [1].

Furthermore, the only person in the Michael Foster dab page with an article is Mike Foster (footballer), who is rather obscure in his sport. Arbor to SJ (talk) 19:49, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
