This article has the unreferenced assertion that Donlin was released by the Orioles when he was arrested and then signed with the Reds when he got out of jail. This article suggests he was one of the many players released from the Orioles to jump to the Reds. – Muboshgu (talk) 09:44, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to be backed up, especially in the SABR biography, that the assault happened, suggesting the NYT was wrong. This does need an inline citation though. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:47, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
