Notabilty

Just some evidence, based on WP:Music

Described by Time Out - New York as "One of New York’s finest Song-Slingers." Unfortunately, I cannot find Time Out's archives online, so I can't give a direct citation.
Appeared on the cover of Billboard Magazine with the rest ofWhiskeytown, March 28, 2002
It is my understanding that members of notable bands are de facto notable. Whiskeytown certainly qualifies - their last album peaked at #9 on a Billboard chart
