Infantcide

[edit]

I'm surprised that this article has no mention of the "baby killing" incident. Mad Dog Coll was blamed for it, but eye witnesses actually identified Coppolla, a man named "Grego" and an accomplice named "Louis". Thus the Coll case ended in perjury. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.215.252.167 (talkcontribs)

Coppola was acting boss?

[edit]

I've never heard of that. What is the source?--Mantanmoreland 16:42, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

~~Coppola was never "in charge of Luciano family"~~

Bosses in his lifetime were Luciana (1931-1936),Genovese (1936-1937, 1957-1959), Costello (1937-1957), Catena and Eboli(acting bosses until Genovese's death in prison in 1969). In fact, it doesn't appear he was ever under boss (Genovese, Adonis, Pisano, etc.). He was a flamboyant, powerful gangster. A top earner but too volatile and careless to be entrusted with the top position.
