Link to the Irish High Court: Strictly speaking Barton was not appointed to the modern Irish High Court, which was not established until the 1920s, but to an earlier High Court which was abolished when the current Court came into existence. I may have to do an article sometime about the court system of Ireland under the Union, which (at least for the superior courts of record) was much the same as the one in England and Wales during the period. However for the moment the existing link is probably the best we can do. --Gary J 00:22, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
